Thanksgiving
I spent this Thanksgiving with a different family. It was a great day being with people I love and remembering God's faithfulness through this season of my life. No matter where you are or what you're doing, you have a reason to be thankful. I am so blessed to be a part of this huge family- I am so thankful for the friendships that I have made, and everything God is doing in my life right now. I am blessed.

Staff Interview : Victoria McGahey
First, the fun facts.
Favorite food and color : Coral pink and ice cream
Craziest thing that you did on outreach : Eat dog
When and how did God lead you to YWAM?
I thought I was going to do long-term missions in Honduras and part of the requirements for the organization I was going to work with is that I had to have missions training. After some research, I decided I would go to YWAM Orlando.
How did you decide to come on staff?
I prayed about it and God spoke so clearly my next step was to join staff at YWAM Orlando.
What's your favorite part about being on staff?
My favorite part is living a life revolved around ministry and discipleship. It's amazing that that's my job!
What is your long-term vision?
My long-term vision is to bring revival to the darkest places
I have had the privilege of getting to know Victoria in the past month, and have been super blessed by this amazing woman of God! We had a fun little photoshoot before the sun disappeared. These are a few of the photos of my beautiful friend :
One Saturday morning.
We walked around a little farmer's market in Winter Garden one morning. Many pictures of produce and sneaky-ish wide angle photos of semi-unsuspecting patrons ensued. Here's a little taste.

a photograph your canvas, the world your paint.
A photo is like a plain white canvas.
The portrait, the tangible image is not existing yet.
You, a photographer, get to write with light on that canvas.
You get to paint anything you wish onto the surface.
You have the opportunity to tell any story you want to tell.
I want to write with color on that canvas. I want to capture the moments that tell a story and reveal the human spirit. I want to see through God's eyes, but not to capture the darkness or heartache, but the hope and beauty. To show the strength and the joy even amidst tragedy. I want to live passionately. I want to bring color to the black and white, and perhaps outside the lines that have been drawn for me. I will use the eyes and the passions I have been given. I seek not to capture just two-dimensional images, but images that come alive. I seek to preserve the moments that tell stories. I seek not just to touch the heart with my photos, but to stir it to action.
To inspire and be inspired.

feathers and gold
Last night I got to do a little shoot around the property with Kristen and Victoria. It was super super fun and I learned more practical things than I probably did in all of my 3 photo classes. Ok, maybe not. But close. Victoria is one super beautiful girl. So, here are a few of my favorite photos for your eyes.
